We received an email from Pastor Moses Lyagoba this week asking for financial assistance for an urgent throat surgery. This is an issue that affects his ability to eat. He has suffered from this in the past, and surgery had been effective for a time, but the problem has returned. 

Moses has been teaching the Smart Choices program in various parts of Uganda since 2012, and he and his teams have taught over 34,000 children since then. He is one of the most effective team leaders and organizers, and serves as a model for the other BOHI affiliates in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and South Africa. 

Moses has been able to partially raise funds but is asking BOHI to assist. Whenever we receive requests of this nature, we do not take them out of the general fund or funds allocated to the Smart Choices program. Rather, we make a special appeal to our donor base to give whatever they feel compelled to give. Please consider giving to this cause so that Moses can continue his valuable ministry to the children of Uganda.
